A great purchase I made the other day at a Rummage Sale….

Unique & Authentic Newsprint from the l800′s

 

So cool.I bought the guy out so I am hoping to share some of these with you. I am keeping a few for myself to use in my card making and other crafting ideas which  I have not yet come up with any yet.

 

So take a look, I hope you enjoy and maybe even want to purchase some from me for yourself….

 

This is the Chicago Legal News News Print {News Paper} Dated 1894. ***** This listing is for 3 Sets of News Papers.

For sale…….
Chicago legal news prints. Aprox. 6-8 pages per print.

I have a total of 18 papers – 15 from 1894 and 3 from 1895.

1.)Most are stamped with the Name {Hon Wm W Morrow US District Judge}
2.)Some are stamped with {Hon Og’n Hoffman}

I have located no information on the 2nd person.
But the Judge I am listing the information I have gathered from Wiki

*He was one of the incorporators of the American Red Cross.
*He was appointed United States District Judge for the Northern District of California 1891–1897 and then United States court of appeals judge of the Ninth Judicial Circuit 1897–1922. Morrow retired from the bench on January 1, 1923.
*Member of the U.S. House of Representatives
from California’s 4th congressional district
1885-1891

Handmade paper

Here are some pics of the “before” status of making handmade paper!!

My goal is to show you my process in picture snippets!!!

The Above Picture is the Paper soaking in Warm Water.

If you use softer paper ie: tissue paper you don’t need to soak the paper overnight. Otherwise let your paper soak for a full 12-24 hours. It blends a lot better that way!!

This is my Osterizer Vintage Blender that works. Got at a Thrift store for $5.00. I love the fact that I am Recycling & Reusing something to make my handmade paper.

Just makes the whole process even more fun & more GREEN!!

This current batch I am making is going to a great lady, Melanie {MJ} @ Lucky7Design. She is having her grand opening of her store in New Jersey on March 9th.
