Handmade paper

Here are some pics of the “before” status of making handmade paper!!

My goal is to show you my process in picture snippets!!!

Something fun, something different!!

The Above Picture is the Paper soaking in Warm Water.

If you use softer paper ie: tissue paper you don’t need to soak the paper overnight. Otherwise let your paper soak for a full 12-24 hours. It blends a lot better that way!!

This is my Osterizer Vintage Blender that works. Got at a Thrift store for $5.00. I love the fact that I am Recycling & Reusing something to make my handmade paper.

Just makes the whole process even more fun & more GREEN!!

This current batch I am making is going to a great lady, Melanie {MJ} @ Lucky7Design. She is having her grand opening of her store in New Jersey on March 9th.

Check out her blog and if you live near the area… Check out her new store opening!!

Tell her Kellie Sent ya from Crafting On A Dime with Vintage Flair!!!

Happy Paper Making :)

Some of my green projects

I Love crafting. My favorite thing is to Reuse,Recycle,Redecorate the things that are going to be thrown out.

Kinda like saving the planet one craft at a time.

Wanna know the secret! I frequent thrift stores & resale shops. I’d love to go to more garage and estate sales!!

Buying vintage is the ultimate way of being green. Recycling what we already have. The absolute best way to be green!!

Green crafting is a community that has flourished, green craftivists, crafters who create and promote sustainable goods, and in doing so, highlight the value of eco-living.
Whether you are looking at going back to the basics, saving the environment, living in simpler times, or an interest in saving some money, there’s no denying crafting and DIY are on an explosive upward trajectory.

It’s easy being green — and fun too — when you reuse your household items to make creative new recyclable crafts you truly have a rewarding crafty experience!!
Below are some of the projects that I have made from crap around the house!!!!
Happy Crafting, Kellie
